Meditation and Movies Collide in David Lynch Duke Chronicle [Finally, Someone Notes the Contradictions in Lynch's Work]

How funny. Virtually every current story on Lynch has noted these apparent contradictions.

Regarding the Tom Cruise story, take special heed to the bit about "first hand experience". I'm reminded of a comment made by Marlon Brando in his autobiography, words to the effect of: "I have read and heard so many lies about myself over the years that I no longer believe anything I hear about anyone from a third party".

To Judy:

Judy, you are welcome here.

I think your continued participation will tend to keep us honest. I also think that with the strong presentation you offer for your point of view, you are likely to make this Blog welcome to readers who don't necessarily share our viewpoint(s).

On the other hand, I can't promise that we will always answer your criticisms. Our energy, such as it is, primarily goes toward furthering our mission. But we are happy to offer you space to present your thoughts.

We are working diligently on a Mission Statement and hope to have it up soon. I also hope to write a post late this evening on the strength we derive from offering a variety of editorial viewpoints and voices.

Astute comments John, it's good to see Judy here, as she represents the TM critic's dream. There's is probably no better reason to want to avoid TM thanks Ms. Stein. She has probably scared more people away from this dangerous org and questionable practice.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if her relentless posting has helped contribute to the downfall and lack of support for these programs (TM/TMSP).

Keep up the good work Judy! Keep postin'!

Judy, you are welcome here.

Thank you.

I doubt it. It would be a full-time job to respond adequately to the various misrepresentations and misunderstandings that have already been posted here. Plus which, the blog/comment format, especially blogspot's version, is hardly conducive to the kind of extended discussion required.

Are you aware that your word verification feature isn't working properly, by the way? It's necessary--at least with the Anonymous option--to go through it twice before a comment can be previewed or posted. (The first time I posted a comment, I thought I had just misread the graphic and that was why I had to do it over again with a new graphic; but it's been absolutely consistent.)

Well, this time it only took one try! Let's see if it stays that way.

One other thing, though--when you first open the Comment window, it takes you down to "Choose an Identity." If you want to post a comment, you have to scroll up to the comment entry window; and if you want to read the previous comments, you have to scroll all the way up to the top.

Judy,

These are problems with the Blogger format. Readers may not be aware that Blogger is a rather inflexible system. It's advantage is that it is free and easy to use for posters. Unfortunately, it's devilish hard to customize for an individual blog's needs.
