Comments Appear Down

It appears comments on TMFB have been down for the last several hours. I'm not sure why, but I have a support ticket in with JS-Kit to see if they can fix the problem.

We have been having great discussions lately in the comments, so this blip is particularly disappointing.

I want to assure all readers and commenters that this is purely a technical issue and not an attempt to stifle discussion.

J.

John, the "Comments" link (with number of comments in parentheses) under each article still isn't working on my computer...I had to piggyback off of Gina's comment above in order to post this one. Thanks for restoring the ability to "View Details" for an identity...it makes it easier to find what someone said in the past, including myself, by grouping everything they've said in one place. Also, is there something I'm missing in how to find all the new comments that have been made, particularly if I haven't visited in a couple of days? Right now, only the 5-6 most recent comments appear in the right column...where does one find the others? And when you click on one of those, you end up at the top of all the comments and have to scan through the entire list in order to find it. I feel that there's got to be an easier way...can anyone help? Thanks.

it is still not ok John.

...It works Alex, just seemingly a bit more complicated. Think the key to find and comment on posts is to click "Older posts". Play with it....good luck!

A repeat of what I posted under the "Prince Charles" article a couple of days ago:

Alex, this is what I figured to do. When you open the blog, scroll to the article that you want to read comments to. At the end of the article, click on "Links to this post" and that article will again appear by itself and after a few moments, you'll see "Comments" appear with the number of comments in parentheses. Click on "Comments" to read them, as well as post your own. When you want to return to all the articles, click on "Home" at the bottom of the current article. Hope this helps.

thank you all, I did found the way to read and make comments.
Isn t it strange that this happends after dr. Freds article, or am I just a little paranoid?

Paul Mason aka Premanand said...

alex, yes, Dr Fred's exchange with me revealed a lack of scientific basis to the TM science, with his relying on trust rather than certainty. I do hope that John has a backup of the relevant exchange to post as a blog.
And the comments at TMfree are now even more difficult to navigate than before...

Ah, I have found the comments that Dr Fred made. They are at:-

dear Paul, how to get on your above mentioned comments of dr. Fred?

Bjarne said...

Alex! Just click the link posted by Paul. Yes Paul, Your discussion with Fred said a lot! Trust is about belief systems and religion. Science is NEVER about trust or beliefs, either You know for sure or You know nothing on the subject in science no matter what field. Beliefs and religion is an important part of life, but lets keep things in different boxes :-D it has nothing to do with medical or any other sciences.
Another thing is that sometime I feel too many posts are made premature by editors (I acknoledge that there is a continuous stream of stupid things happening in TMO) but a little sad to break an on going discussion.....a difficult balance to find for editors, You are all doing a great job. What seem not be working for now, is to arrive at a comment recently posted by clicking the link.
