Not too much to add. Singer/songwriter Jimmy Demers has written a paean to Transcendental Meditation for his column at the Huffington Post—and the comments are filling up with kudos from TMers. Natch.
No new information in the post, but those so inclined may wish to leave a comment. The HuffPost is read by hundreds of thousands of people every day and seems to be on a mission to promote TM, Deepak Chopra, and other similar "New Age" traditions.
I'd argue that TM isn't "New Age" in any meaningful sense of the word—but rather idiosyncratic and fundamental Hinduism.
But, hey, that's just my opinion.

The definition of an advertorial is a paid ad designed to resemble an article or other editorial content. I very much doubt Jimmy Demers paid for the space to voice his pro-TM opinion.
